THE NORTH VAN CARES CHARITY GALA
From selling merch for charities to delivering gifts at the holidays to raising money for the victims of the Lynn Valley stabbings, The North Van Cares Foundation has become a popular fund-raising mechanism on the North Shore.
In 2022 we hosted our first charity gala and were able to donate $10,000 to local charities and non-profits.
The gala has become an annual event and all of the money raised will go toward helping other North Vancouver do-gooders do more good...er ;)

In March of 2021 6 people were injured and 1 killed in a stabbing rampage at the Lynn Valley Mall in North Vancouver.
The tragedy rocked the community and people were very quick to jump in to help.
Acting as a conduit between the victims and those wanting to do anything they could to help, the North Van Cares Foundation started a gofundme to raise money for the victims and families.
Over $140,000 was raised through the gofundme and direct donations and the money was split between the victims.
Though money could not do anything to mitigate this terrible event many found comfort in having a way to show their support.
spread joy on the shore campaigns
2020/2021
During COVID we realized that there were a great many folks on the North Shore who would be lonely during the holidays.
The North Van Cares Foundation came up with the "SPREAD JOY ON THE SHORE" campaign to deliver gifts and joy to those who really needed it.
We had a nomination process where neighbours, family and friends could nominate someone who needed a wee boost over the holidays.
The response was amazing! In the 2 years of the program we gave out over 450 gifts!
We couldn't have done this without the massive contribution of our North Van Cares Foundation family!
